A Walk in the "Nature" park...

Peter, my parents, and I made a trip over to Cal State Fullerton to deliver a second copy of the final high school transcript. Somehow, the first copy got lost although we had them sign for it and we got the signed green card back. So we decided to make a day trip out of it, and it worked out beautifully to pick up my parents along the way so that Peter could show off the campus.
We ended up, of course, in what Peter calls "the nature park," which is CSUF's wonderful arboretum which is totally a miniature Huntington Library with every tree and plant imaginable, with pathways lined with benches leading to a gorgeous lagoon. So after taking a quick self tour of the school, which included a trip inside the Student Union for a couple t shirts, and lunch at the on campus Carl's Jr, we wound up on a shady bench for a bit of a rest.
Afterwards, we were pooped from the warm sun and walking and went back to my parents' home to rest and a bit of a late dinner. Above is my Family Sampler designed by Pat Rogers and stitched by me...quite a contrast to the very full Family Tree from an earlier blog that I had stitched for my mother in law!!

A very nice day...Peter had a great time showing off the campus to his Opa and Oma. Peter is so excited and can't wait to move into the dorms, which, by the way, are right next door to the "nature park." I imagine I'll be visiting there often!
